Ethical commitment 

To guarantee every manuscript submitted is thoroughly vetted, we have a paid reader team. Our manuscript submission fees are 100% used to pay our readers, editors, and other admin fees. Our editorial submission fee is higher to reflect the work our editing readers provide, and to ensure they are paid for this service. All authors retain intellectual rights to their own work & Instructors retain intellectual rights to all their intellectual material - unless we have a signed agreement between both parties that states otherwise. Such as streamlining certain lessons or offering the press first right of refusal for our final three.

When we offer the finalists their spot, they will accept under certain conditions, one of these being first right of refusal. The reason for this is because we will invest a fair amount of time, money, and other resources into developing these manuscripts with our senior editor, the fully-paid professional residency, and the festival publicity.
